56th Street Deli Beer & Wine
No one put it better than Gary Portnoy when he wrote and sang the theme song to the famous TV Seires “Cheers”. He sang, “Sometimes you want to go…. Where everyone knows your name… And they’re always glad you came”.
This concept has been at the heart of our collaboration with 56th Street Deli off of 56th Street and Indian School in Phoenix, Arizona. The four founders of Grass Clippings have been buying sandwhiches from the local deli since we we’re 5 years old. Pete behind the counter has been a friend and even a mentor over the years as he’s watched us grow up. Hell, he even named a sandwhich after Connor, one of the Grass Clippings founders. When people say retail is dead or everything is moving online, I laugh because the personal exchange you get when going into a shop like 56th Street Deli is priceless.
Regardless of whether you’ve been to 56th Street Deli, the hat is a symbol more or less that when you can “shop local”.

Don't take our word for it
