The Stay Grassy Patch HAt

The Grass Clippings brand and Stay Grassy mantra were created in part to recognize the greenskeepers of golf. As the mantra grew, we realized the things we admired about golf greenskeepers crossed over into other professions. The goal is to highlight hard work that goes unnoticed be it on a golf course, a boot manufacturing plant, or college football stadium. You name it.

TPC Scottsdale Head Greenskeeper
Scott Hebert

Scott Hebert is at the pinnacle of the greenskeeping world. He currently roams the fairways of TPC Scottsdale with his dog Rye managing the course for public play as well as the Phoenix Open. Scott most recently worked on the Quail Hollow staff for the Presidents cup seen on the left.

Barber - Bespoke Barbershop

A barber shop is a sacred place. You can learn a lot about life from a barber. The difference between a barber and somone cutting hair at a sports clips is that they actually care about the details of your cut. Boris owns Bespoke Barbershop which is next door to the Grass Clippings Shop. He's been cutting hair since he was 14 years old and has had clients such as Muhammed Ali or Mike Tyson. The world would be a much better place if more people treated their craft the way Boris does.

Del Mar Race Track
Leif Dickenson

"Sometimes I feel like I'm married to the turf". Leif has been the head greenskeeper at the Del Mar Race Track for roughly 15 years. The quality of his work is not only reflected visually, but in the safety of the racing horses. Horses that break down are typically euthanized shortly after the race. Leif's love for the horses is what motivates him to perfect the turf on which they run.

Nogales, AZ
Paul Bond Boots

I was told that the best and most historic cowboy boots were hand crafted in Nogales, Arizona. Names like John Wayne and Elvis Presley bought their cowboy boots at this very store. You come to find that it's the employees of Paul Boots that have kept the company alive and well. The store manager said to me that all the employees could find higher paying jobs in town, but instead choose to work here. For them it’s not about the money, it’s about the craft. It’s about their loyalty to Paul Bond who passed away in 2012.

USC Football Grounds Crew
Jordan Achay

Managing a college football field is much more complex than one would think. The USC grounds crew is constantly ripping up the turf and replacing it throughout the year. In fact, this season the USC field will be replaced 5 different times. The slightest mistake has enourmous consequeneces.

Alexandria GC Grounds Crew

There's nowhere better to find silent heroes than small town America. Alexandria Golf Course is nestled in a town of 14,000 people in Western Minnesota. The course is known for some of the best greens in the country and plays host to the renowned Resorters golf tournament. The quality of the course and the success of the tournament is a direct result from the hard work from the grounds crew. Guys like Glenn seen to the right are the reason Alexandria Golf Club has been such a success.

Don't take our word for it

As a former grounds keeper on golf courses, athletic fields, and having a Bachelor’s of Science in Turfgrass Management….I love ya’lls stuff!

I am an assistant superintendent at a course up here in Wisconsin. This hat is awesome and can’t wait to rep it out on the course and out on the streets. Keep doin what you do.

Very excited about this hat. I’m the groundskeeper at Texas A&M University’s baseball field so grass is my life. Couldn’t go without something from y’all! Pumped to get it and wear it at work, Stay grassy!

Andrew Healy

College Station, Texas

In my free time I volunteer for the park district mowing ball fields and I thought some Stay grassy gear would be a perfect addition to wear out on the fields.
